It’s essential to figure out how to get around Park City so you can enjoy the time you spend during your getaway. After all, a vacation is no fun if you’re stressed out figuring out how to get to your destination, and Park City has lots to offer all over the city. So, how do you get around Park City safely, without breaking the bank or getting stressed out?
Getting from the Airport to Park City
First of all, it’s important to note that the Salt Lake City International Airport is 35 miles northwest of Park City. SLC is the airport closest to Park City and is your best option for traveling from out of state unless you’re driving. So, you’ll need transportation to get from the airport to your Park City lodging before you begin enjoying whatever activities you have planned.
Walk to Historic Park City
Once you’re in Park City, you can walk to nearby locations. For example, there might be restaurants down the street from where you’re staying. There could be a gift shop in the lobby of your hotel. Historic Park City is easy to walk around once you get there. You could spend hours there since many stores, galleries, and restaurants are on this street. It could easily take up an entire day of your vacation. It’s a long street, so if you get tired of walking, there’s a trolley that runs up and down the road all day.
Commute to State Parks
Utah is known for its many beautiful state parks near and far from Park City. Rockport offers year-round camping and water sports in the summer. Wasatch Mountain is nearly 23,000 acres and is visible from the Northern Utah horizon. Both of these state parks are located roughly 20 minutes from Park City, so you’ll need to find transportation to get there.
